Peugeot expects to sell 100,000 units a year of its 206 small car in China despite a slowdown in the country's auto market.

The French automaker will start 206 production at its joint venture plant with Dongfeng Motor Corp. in Wuhan at the end of this year.

"We shall be selling 100,000 206s annually within three to four years," said Peugeot managing director Frederic Saint-Geours at the auto show here.
