Renault and Nissan have combined their Portuguese new-car distribution operations by setting up a jointly owned subsidiary.

Portugal is the fifth market in western Europe where Renault and Nissan have combined distribution. The others are Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Austria.

Renault owns 44.4 percent of Nissan.
