Chrysler: Europe, Asia are vital; US automaker 'will learn from past mistakes'.(News)

The Chrysler group's health depends on expansion in Europe and Asia, Chief Operating Officer Tom LaSorda says.

"In order for us to grow, we need to grow internationally," LaSorda says. "We're a bit late into the game. But strategically we can identify where we want to be and how big we want to be."

Chrysler will learn from mistakes of the past, LaSorda says. The company will not move products designed for one continent to other ones. This time, he says, Chrysler will create vehicles that fit the markets in which they are sold.
