Improving gasoline engines is next technology breakthrough.(News)(electronic valve control system )

The next breakthrough engine technology will be an electronic valve control system that will help generate further fuel savings, said Fiat executive Rinaldo Rinolfi.

Such a system would permit independent valve-by-valve and cylinder-by-cylinder control, he told the Automotive News Europe Congress.
