General Motors Europe gave Jonathan Browning control of its UK subsidiary Vauxhall in May. Already head of GM Europe's sales and marketing, Browning says he aims to strengthen Vauxhall's market position while simultaneously continuing GM Europe's drive to build stronger links between its European brands and company headquarters here. Browning takes over Vauxhall at a good time. It outsold UK market leader Ford twice in the first five months of this year. He aims to continue that trend plus boost sales of all GM brands in the UK.
