Chrysler group's Jeep brand will start a European sales offensive next year with its Commander large SUV.
"The Commander is the first part of our big Jeep product offensive," said Thomas Hausch, Chrysler's executive director of international sales and marketing.
The seven-passenger Commander goes on sale in Europe next spring. It shares the Jeep Grand Cherokee's vehicle platform and engines.
Commander production will begin in January at Magna Steyr's plant in Graz, Austria.
