A new leadership team at AvtoVAZ, Russia's largest automaker, has a three-fold objective: Broaden AvtoVAZ's product lineup, improve its overall image and increase vehicle quality.
Last month, state-linked executives, including two from Rosoboronexport, the Russian state agency for arms export, took charge of AvtoVAZ.
Under new leadership, AvtoVAZ will concentrate on producing cheap Russian cars, said Igor Yesipovsky, AvtoVAZ's new chief executive.
