Skoda will add former Czech deputy prime minister Martin Jahn to its board of directors effective February 1.
Jahn will be responsible for human resources and governmental affairs at the Czech-based division of Volkswagen.
He replaces Helmuth Schuster who resigned last June amid allegations of bribery and fraud.
Jahn said his three primary goals at Skoda are:
* Increasing labor productivity
* Helping the automaker's global expansion
* Boosting the image of Skoda both in the Czech Republic and internationally.
