Saab added 40 dealers in Europe last year and will try to build on that number in 2006, says Saab managing director Jan-Ake Jonsson.
Jonsson said Saab has now covered 90 percent of the German market and improved its dealer coverage in France, Italy and Spain. In the UK, Saab added nine new dealerships - a 10 percent increase - by partnering with Vauxhall and Chevrolet to form multi-point locations, mostly in large cities.
But there is more work to do if Saab is going to improve its sales in Europe and reverse years of losses.
