Opel will have a new halo car in its lineup.
The GT returns after a 33-year absence with a two-seat roadster that debuts in Geneva as a near-production vehicle.
Opel built 100,000 units of the original GT between 1968 and 1973. The GT's US muscle car styling was a novelty in Europe at the time so the car became a cult hit.
The new GT is not a retro recreation of that model. It's effectively a rebadged version of the Sky roadster, which is sold in the US by Opel's sister brand Saturn.
