A General Motors Europe review of its light commercial vehicle operations across Europe could lead to the closing of a Portugal plant.
GME produces the Opel/Vauxhall Combo car-derived van in Azambuja, Portugal. It is the plant's only model.
Two supplier sources said they expect GME to close the Azambuja plant in 2008. But a GME source said that no decision on the plant's future has been made.
