Veteran DaimlerChrysler executive Manfred Bischoff likely will be the next chairman of D/C's supervisory board, say German financial sources.
Bischoff, 62, would succeed Hilmar Kopper, 70, who has chaired the board since 1998, representing Deutsche Bank.
Deutsche Bank previously was D/C's largest shareholder. Last year, the bank reduced its shareholding to 4.4 percent from 10.4 percent.
