The supposed drop-dead March 31 date for a new labor contract between Delphi and its US labor union, the United Auto Workers, came and went without a strike.

Delphi asked US Bankruptcy Judge Robert Drain to void its contracts. Drain says he'll think about it. So when can we expect a deal?

Insiders say mid-June 15 is the real deadline. That's when Dick Shoemaker steps down as the UAW's vice president in charge of GM.
