General Motors Europe's Polish plant will get a new model.
"As of next year, we'll produce the fifth variant of our current Astra in Gliwice," said Hans Demant, managing director of GM Europe subsidiary Opel.
Starting in mid-2007, the plant will make about 35,000 Astra three-box sedans a year, according to internal plans.
Turkey is expected to be the model's top sales market, followed by central Europe.
