Plastic Omnium of France plans to open two factories in the world's fastest growing auto market.
"We cannot afford to stay away from China any longer," said Laurent Burelle, Plastic Omnium CEO, in an interview. "We'll get there in the next 24 months."
Inergy, a Plastic Omnium joint venture with the chemicals group Solvay of Belgium, will open a factory in Wuhan, central China. Inergy makes fuel tanks.
