Renault wants to increase Logan production capacity in Russia, either by expanding its existing Moscow plant or using a future Nissan plant in St. Petersburg.
Renault is "seriously considering" doubling Logan capacity to 120,000 units annually by 2010, a spokesman said. It would prefer to enlarge its Avtoframos plant in Moscow. But it is unsure land adjacent to the site - a former Moskvich auto plant location - will be available in time at a reasonable price.
