German tuning specialist Brabus will start customizing cars for Korean automakers.

The Bottrop-based company established a separate subsidiary called Car Research & Development (CRD) to handle the initial orders for 300 special editions of the SsangYong Rexton Noblesse and 500 Hyundai Tucson Champions.

Brabus created the CRD brand for Asian vehicles to avoid alienating its primary customers, Mercedes-Benz and sister brand Smart.
