When Czech automaker Skoda produced its 100,000th Superb large sedan in August, the car went to Golden Telecom, a Ukrainian telecom with its own fleet.

The destination wasn't at all unusual. As sales of its top model have stagnated in western Europe, Skoda has looked East for new buyers for the Superb - and found them.

Ukraine has become one of Skoda's top five markets for the executive sedan, and Golden Telecom is a major customer.
