Kia hopes to lure buyers for its new lower-medium Cee'd with Europe's longest warranty: five-year bumper-to-bumper and seven-year or 150,000km powertrain coverage.
Kia says that is the longest car warranty ever offered in Europe.
"Kia's claim is probably correct," said Colin Dobinson, marketing director at MSX International, a UK-based consultancy that specializes in auto warranties.
Since 2002, the EU has mandated that automakers offer a two-year warranty on the entire vehicle.
