General Motors Europe is a candidate to develop and engineer parent GM's global small SUV/hatchback crossover.

The crossover could be based on GM's Delta architecture, which is developed by GM Europe subsidiary Opel in Russelsheim.

In Europe, the crossover likely would be sold by Opel and compete against cars such as platform siblings Suzuki SX4 and Fiat Sedici.
