New Audi CEO Rupert Stadler sees improving the carmaker's sales and service network as one of his core tasks.

"As far as technology and products are concerned, we already are the best," Stadler said.

The next task is to ensure that the brand's retail and repair outlets offer top service.

Audi, Volkswagen group's premium brand, has had its own sales network for just a few years. Previously, Audi models were sold through VW dealers.

Stadler said Audi is on target to reach its goal of 1.4 million sales by 2015.
