Chongqing Lifan Industry Group is China's largest privately owned motorcycle manufacturer. Now, founder Yin Mingshan wants to become an important manufacturer and exporter of cars.
The challenge is huge. But Yin is ambitious and self-confident.
He launched his first car in April 2005. The small-segment sedan, known as the Lifan 520, sold only 5,226 units in the first 11 months of this year, according to Automotive Resources Asia, a consultancy in Shanghai.
