Robert Bosch will significantly boost its purchasing in China this year.

The German supplier will source [euro]1 billion in components in China in 2007, says Rudolf Colm, Bosch's management board member in charge of the Asia-Pacific region as well as global purchasing.

For 2006, the figure was expected to be about [euro]780 million.

Bosch, the world's largest automotive supplier, has a global purchasing volume of [euro]12 billion.
