Jose Maria Alapont is getting ready to take the new Federal-Mogul out of five years of expensive US Chapter 11 reorganization. To do that, the CEO will resume a global march started by the 107-year-old company long before his tenure.
In a recent interview, Alapont said Federal-Mogul will emerge from bankruptcy protection as a leaner company with positive cash flow, hungry for acquisitions.
"Now we're driving into the future," the 30-year auto industry veteran said.
