Toyota's bid to join Europe's association of automakers remains an open issue for ACEA.
"Our [original] application was never discussed. It still sits of the table so we do not need to file a new one," said Graham Smith, Toyota Motor Europe vice president for external and environmental affairs interviewed here late last year.
Toyota applied to be an ACEA member in January 2005.
