European suppliers that expanded business in North America are backing away from doing business with General Motors, Ford Motor and the Chrysler group.

"Of course we are worried about the situation of the Big 3 in the US. We stand and fall with the success of our customers. But our dependency on them is lower than it used to be," said Mats Odman, vice president of corporate communications for Autoliv of Sweden.
