The arrival of new products has Maserati's boss promising that the sports car maker's 17-year streak of financial losses will end in 2007.

"We will definitely break even this year," Maserati CEO Roberto Ronchi said on the sidelines of the Quattroporte Automatica's introduction here last month.

Parent Fiat group is even more confident about how the carmaker will do in 2007.

"Maserati will finally return to profitability in 2007," said Fiat group CEO Sergio Marchionne in a call with financial analysts late last month.
