Acceptance of diesels is part of Bosch's plan.(Suppliers)

Bosch Corp. has been active in the drive to make diesel engines acceptable to Japanese buyers.

"We've done some [diesel engine] promotions on our own since 2002," says Bosch Corp. President Stefan Stocker. The company also has been lobbying carmakers, government authorities, the media and customers.
