Kia's marketing strategy for its new Cee'd hatchback will center around the car's long warranty.

The Korean carmaker is offering five-year bumper-to-bumper and seven-year/150,000km powertrain coverage for its new lower-medium car. Kia says that is the longest car warranty ever offered in Europe.

"People will [come into the showroom] and ask, 'Where is the car with the seven-year warranty?' " Jean-Charles Lievens, Kia Motors Europe's senior vice president, told Automotive News Europe.
