German D/C unions oppose stake in GM.(News)

DaimlerChrysler's employee representatives in Germany would oppose the automaker taking a minority interest in General Motors in exchange for GM buying the Chrysler group, industry sources said.

Last month, D/C said it would consider selling, or spinning off, Chrysler, its loss-making US brand. The German automaker could take a minority stake in GM if GM buys Chrysler, the Financial Times reported February 26.
