Can we be honest with each other?

The science of global warming is complex, its causes not yet fully understood. The stakes - our planet's health - are as high as they come.

Yet to some, the issue is amazingly simple. These people reduce this complex problem into short, misleading, tabloid-like phrases such as: Cars cause global warming. Global warming is a myth. Ban the V-8. Cows emit more CO2 than cars.

Well, enough. Stop it.
