Supplier contributions helped the Fiat Bravo earn a top safety rating from EuroNCAP. The independent car-testing organization gave the car five stars because of its numerous active and passive safety features. The vehicle offers a number of airbags, with Key Safety Systems of the US providing the side-curtain, driver, and side-thorax airbags and Autoliv of Sweden providing the knee airbags. Robert Bosch of Germany provides the antilock brakes and electronic stability control. The Bravo's ESC includes additional functions such as engine torque regulation, which prevents drive wheels from locking up during rapid downshifts.
