European new-car buyers and dealers want more information about vehicles with non-traditional powertrains.
Both dealers and consumers see a lack of information as the biggest factor holding back sales of hybrids and other alternative powertrains. In parallel Automotive News Europe/Maritz Research surveys, two-thirds of dealers and 54 percent of new-car buyers said the biggest reason not to buy a vehicle with a non-traditional engine was the unavailability of information about choices.
