New spokesman for Ford's Europe dealers

Christian Digoin will be named chairman of the 1,700-member European Ford dealer association next month.

Digoin succeeds Ben Abeloos who quit before his term was due to end on May 24.

Abeloos told Automotive News Europe that he decided to step down after selling his dealership, Abeloos Automotive in Sterrebeek, near Brussels, earlier this year.

Digoin is managing director of Mustiere Automobiles, which runs eight Ford dealerships in northwestern France.
