The rise in copper prices during the past three years has made cables and wires a strategic product for automakers, says Christopher Guerin, Nexans' vice president responsible for automotive business. The Paris-based cable supplier to aerospace and energy companies is targeting the auto industry for growth. Guerin, 34, plans to boost Nexans' automotive sales to [euro]120 million in 2009, up from [euro]75 million last year. He spoke with Automotive News Europe Reporter Sylviane de Saint-Seine.
