In April, Ford of Europe put Jan Brentebraten in charge of its alternative fuels strategy, a newly created position.The move makes him responsible for sales and marketing for Ford's alternative-fuels vehicles in Europe. Ford currently sells the Focus and Focus C-Max in flexible fuel versions in Europe. Brentebraten's work is certain to get attention as the European Union pushes carmakers to make big cuts in carbon dioxide emissions.
