HOME DISH FEES SCRUTINIZED FCC To Look Closely at Satellite Pricing WASHINGTON -- The FCC recently agreed to seek more information regarding whether satellite carriers of superstation and network station programming are unlawfully charging higher rates to home satellite dish owners than to cable system operators, satellite master antenna systems, wireless cable systems and other video deliverers.
Information from the proceeding will be compiled in a report to Congress. Among the questions the FCC asked interested parties to comment on: * Are there costs or other factors that justify higher charges? * Are services to distributors and other video programming providers such as cable similar for purposes of determining if unlawful...
