MTV, VH-1 Launch Consumer Ad Campaigns NEW YORK - MTV: Music Television and VH-1 have both launched significant consumer advertising campaigns in an effort to better create awareness among viewers and non-viewers. MTV recently announced the launch of a new print image marketing campaign utilizing the works of several artists and photographers, part of the network's new approach to advertising its image, events and programming.

The print campaign, developed by advertising agent Fred/Alan, Inc., will feature the artists' interpretation and creative images of the phrase, "Just When You Think You Know What It Is, It's MTV," said Harriet Seitler, vice president of marketing for MTV. She said the ads will appear exclusively in Rolling Stone magazine...
