Cablevision Cleared In MSG Class-Action Suit NEW YORK - A Suffolk County Supreme Court judge has dismissed a class action suit brought against Cablevision Systems in November 1988 during the dispute over carriage of Madison Square Garden Network. The charges against Cablevision Systems included fraud, restraint of trade and false advertising, and focused on the company's failure to reduce the cost of its sports package after a breakdown in carriage negotiations with MSG resulted in removal of the popular sports channel from the MSO's cable systems.
