Turner To Repackage CNN Reports for Home Video ATLANTA -- Turner Home Entertainment (THE) has plans to turn material from Cable News Network into additional home video treasures for the lucrative, $266.4 million syndication and licensing division of Turner Broadcasting System Inc. "We think that just as our film library has had hidden jewels, CNN has potential jewels for home video also," Jack Petrik, THE president, told Multichannel News last week.
Petrik acknowledged that two earlier attempts to edit CNN footage into home video packages -- which produced Oliver North: His Story and The Reagan Years -- had met with limited success. THE now has some new concepts and ideas, he said, noting that it will try to wrap together all aspects of CNN...
