Luff Leaves Jones for S-A DENVER - Jones Intercable Inc.'s chief technical officer, Bob Luff, will leave the eighth-ranked MSO by Sept. 1 to join Scientific-Atlanta Inc. as vice president of strategic operations, giving S-A a top-level exec well-versed in cable operations. The change offers Luff a chance to "help shape and harness exploding technologies such as digital video, compression, optics and dial tone," he said.
The move appears to have been carefully orchestrated and fully supported by Jones Intercable CEO Glenn Jones and S-A CEO William Johnson.
