NEW YORK -- Broadcast Music Inc. and Arts & Entertainment Network have concluded a license agreement for the cable network's use of BMI music, and a legal dispute between the parties will be dropped, BMI announce last week. The terms of the agreement, which runs through June 30, 1991, were not disclosed.

Also, plaintiffs Black Entertainment Television and The Disney Channel indicated that they are ready to talk again with BMI, following a recent federal district court ruling that threw out BMI's split-licensing concept but preserved the cable network blanket license, said BMI assistant general counsel Judith Saffer.
