TDC Lone Network in TCI's Denver Test So far only one cable network - The Discovery Channel - is slated to test its ability to sell programming on a pay-per-view basis as part of the video-on-demand experiment being launched in suburban Denver in March by Tele-Communications Inc., AT&T and U S West.

And while both Fox Broadcasting Co. and TCI remain coy on the subject, sources said last week that there is some discussion about a tryout of Fox CEO Barry Diller's multiplexing plan on the TCI Denver test as well.
