Meet Brooks Jackson, investigative reporter and head of Cable News Network's ad police. Of course, if you are a political candidate's campaign manager, you already know who he is.

Several times a week, on CNN's Inside Politics series, Jackson and his team take political campaign ads and rip them apart, sometimes exposing distortion, sometimes pointing out falsehoods or manipulative tactics - and always doing so in an entertaining manner.

In an era when political ads have come under increasing criticism for negativity and misrepresenting the facts, it should come as no surprise that CNN is the first TV news organization to cover such ads as a regular part of its election year coverage.
