Gary Kerr, who oversaw TeleCommunication Inc.'s stepped up ad sales effort during the past four years, has left the MSO to start his own company. Kerr, formerly TCI's general manager of special projects, has the backing of a group of investors to create a company that will provide business-to-business services, such as data entry and telemarketing, to clients.

"The opportunity came about, and I made my move," Kerr said. During his TCI term, Kerr was in charge of local ad sales and helped shepherd the MSO's more aggressive stance in terms of advertising, stressing technology's importance.
