Two Time Warner Entertainment Co. divisions -- E! Entertainment Television and Warner Bros. TV Distribution -- apparently are locking horns over which will be the premiere purveyor of news about the entertainment industry. The feud escalated last week with news that Multimedia Entertainment was pulling clips of its Sally Jesse Raphael show from E!'s popular program Talk Soup, in which host Greg Kinnear airs highlights from talk shows from that day.
E! says it still has access to Sally's clips. Although executives for both Time Warner Entertainment divisions decline to discuss the matter on the record, several gave not-for-attribution acknowledgements that bad feelings have continued to escalate. Now it appears the two sides could be headed for court. ...
