American Airlines is testing its own channel, which lists flights and advertises deeply discounted airfares, on a cable system in Las Colinas, Texas. If American and its Sabre Computer Services unit are satisfied with the experiment's results, the test channel could prove to be a model for similar offerings in other cities, according to a spokesman for American and its parent, AMR Corp.
Its name is "AA tv," he added. "If it takes off, you may see it in other markets," the spokesman said. "We're always interested in new ways of getting out our marketing information.
