In its most ambitious consumer promotion ever, Playboy Television will offer a multitiered, monthlong "Kiss Across America" campaign beginning in October. The promotion will feature a free Playboy preview, separate consumer and affiliate sweepstakes, local operator marketing opportunities and a charity tie-in, said Maggie McDermott, vice president of marketing for the adult service.

Overall, Playboy will spend in excess of $100,000 for the promotion - the biggest outlay ever for a consumer campaign by the network, McDermott said.
