Retrans tensions ease in two cities. (retransmission consent)

Time Warner Cable in suburban Indianapolis and the NBC affiliate in that market negotiated a settlement last week in the retransmission-consent standoff that resulted in the TV station pulling its signal off the cable system on New Year's Day. Also on the retransmission front, Tele-Communications Inc.

in Oakland and Wayne counties, Mich., outside of Detroit, reached a two-month temporary retransmission agreement with NBC affiliate WDIV-TV, thereby avoiding the station pulling its signal from the cable system.
