Zenith Electronics Corp. last week threw its support behind Oracle Corp.'s Network Computer initiative, becoming the second company to say that it will use this technology as a means of bringing Internet access to the television set. Earlier, at the Western Show in December, Thomson Consumer Electronics Inc.

showed a prototype of a version of NC-based TV Internet access that works in conjunction with the OpenTV interactive platform developed by Thomson Sun Interactive, Thomson's joint venture with Sun Microsystems Inc.
